  • Joseph

    Certified Pilates Trainer

Growing up in Colorado I was always an active outdoors person. I knew that I had a passion for fitness and nutrition and the desire to help others reach their fitness goals. Getting an overweight friend to start eating healthier and working out, or just being there for someone to talk to, I had a knack for helping others get fit, even as a teenager. One of my passions in life is singing and playing guitar. I studied Music Performance in College and still love it to this day. Throughout my life, exercise and nutrition have always been important to me. While still living in Denver, one of my friends told me about a form of exercise called Pilates. They told me that Pilates would give me some of the same results as weightlifting plus the added benefit of more lean muscle and flexibility. I thought it sounded great and began practicing Pilates. After several months my body started to change and became more lean and defined. I was hooked! When I moved to California several years ago I found a wonderful Pilates instructor who I started training with. When I saw the changes he was making in people's lives, I knew that I wanted to do the same. That’s when I decided to get certified as a Pilates instructor. I received my Mat and Apparatus certifications through Mind Body Connection in San Francisco. During my certification process I had the benefit of working with some of the very best Pilates professionals in the Bay Area. I learned so much about the body and what goes into being a top-notch instructor during that time and am now able to apply those learning’s with my own clients. Since being certified I continue to further my education by attending Pilates on Tour conferences through out the U.S. Pilates on Tour is designed for Pilates instructors and offers a variety of workshops with some of the best instructors from around the world.

  • Julie

    Pilates Instructor

After my second lumbar spinal fusion surgery, I was introduced to Pilates as part of my rehabilitation. My physical therapist was also a Pilates instructor and used the reformer and exo chair to strengthen my core and my entire body to support my new titanium back! I was immediately hooked and knew as I became stronger and overcame my limitations, I knew this was my new exercise regime. This was eight years ago and I have been faithfully practicing Pilates ever since. During this time, my love for Pilates led me to expand my horizons and go through teacher training with Club Pilates so that I may share the joy of Pilates with others. After years as an Executive Assistant, I realized Pilates was the new path for me. Club Pilates offers such a variety of classes and equipment - you never feel bored with your routine. My back and I are a testament to the recovery and long term benefits of Pilates! After completing my apprenticeship under my Mentor Joseph Lyons, I am excited for the opportunity to teach my own classes. I am a native of Upper Michigan and have lived in Colorado for 15 years. I live In Lone Tree with my husband Joe. We are huge movie buffs and football fans. We enjoy biking the wonderful Colorado paths/trails, road trips, having dinner at new restaurants, and spending time with our three grandchildren.
